My name is Isang Smith, and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, Running Coach, and currently studying Acupuncture. I earned a BA in psychology at Columbia University where I also competed on their Division 1 Track and Field team. Being a competitive athlete for most of my life, I have had my fair share of injuries and chronic muscular tightness.

My interest in Integrative Medicine came immediately after Massage Therapy and Acupuncture resolved a troublesome calf injury during my senior year track season. Inspired to learn more about these therapeutic modalities, I attended the Swedish Institute for Massage Therapy where I graduated in 2012.

Today, I have a private practice in New York City where I specialize in Sports, Medical and Tui Na Massage. I currently am attending Tri-State College of Acupuncture for my Masters in Oriental Medicine. The journey has been incredible and I continue to follow my passion to help athletes of all levels recover from injury and provide them with resources to prevent future ones.

I invite you to join the On Point Sports Care practice and community as it continues to grow and develop. Using the experience from my athletic background, I incorporate rehabilitative techniques into each treatment plan and create customized programs that combine both eastern and western techniques. I believe in having a strong team of support for each client and so work in tandem with some of most knowledgeable health care professionals and fitness leaders in the city.

My commitment to improving a client’s wellbeing through integrative medicine grows stronger each day. I am focused on providing and creating discussions around the best rehabilitative and preventative strategies for athletes.
